European Education Days Yekaterinburg

In the period from 14.05.2013 to 18.05.2013 a meeting of the consortium Erasmus Mundus Action 3 : Siberian Center of European Education was held. The meeting was organized by the Ural State Economic University (Yekaterinburg, Russia) and it was attended by the representatives of the consortium members including University of Montpellier 2 (France), Warsaw School of Economics (Poland), University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (Poland) and Pacific National University (Khabarovsk, Russia).

During the meeting a series of conferences devoted to current issues of the project took place. Among which were discussions on the problem of organizing and controlling the next activities of the consortium universities in the framework of the project such as joint work on double diploma programs, advertizing the outcomes of the project achieved to date and foreseen in the near future, preparation of the final report and other.

On May 16, 2013 a plenary session «European education in Russia: issues and perspectives» welcomed the working groups of the consortia Erasmus Mundus Action 3: Siberian Center of European Education and Erasmus Mundus Action 2: MULTIC as well as guests from the universities of Ural region of Russian Federation. Invited alumni of Erasmus Mundus programs played an active role in the work of the session. Such questions as challenges met in the course of establishing and carrying out the double degree programs, organization of educational on-line courses were discussed meeting.

In addition to the above activities the participants of the meeting took part in the actions of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, which is annually held at the premises of Ural State University of Economics and attracts participants from more than 60 countries.

The main outcomes of the meeting of the consortium Erasmus Mundus Action 3: Siberian Center of European Education is the creation and signing of the report on the activities of the project and making a list of recommendations for improving its performance.
